HC Deb 27 March 1882 vol 268 c19
MR. ARTHUR O'CONNOR

asked Mr. Attorney General for Ireland, What facilities will be afforded to Mr. Patrick Cahill, LL.B., at present imprisoned in Naas Gaol, for doing his work in connection with the "Leinster Leader" newspaper, of which he is proprietor and editor?

MR. SEXTON

Does the right hon. and learned Gentleman know whether the Executive refused to allow this gentleman to have the use of a harmonium offered him by some ladies?

THE ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR IRELAND (Mr. W. M. JOHNSON)

I cannot answer the latter Question without Notice. My reply to the Question of the hon. Member for Queen's County is the very suitable one that Mr. Cahill has made no application with reference to his duty as newspaper editor.

MR. ARTHUR O'CONNOR

May I ask what facilities will be afforded?

THE ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR IRELAND (Mr. W. M. JOHNSON)

If Mr. Cahill should apply I shall be able to inform him.
