MR. MACARTNEY

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland. Whether there is any truth in the reports of serious outrages in Ireland on Sunday—namely, the shooting at a gentleman and his family while going to church, and the wounding of a sub-inspector?

MR. W. E. FORSTER

, in reply, said, it was true the sub-inspector was wounded; but he hoped not seriously.

MR. MACARTNEY

MR. W. E. FORSTER
