§ MR. D. GRANTasked the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies, If he will state what steps have been taken with respect to the future position of Cetewayo; and, whether the idea of permitting him to visit England has been altogether abandoned; and, if so, is it the intention of Her Majesty's Government to retain him in his present position?
§ MR. EVELYN ASHLEY, in reply, said, that no new steps had been taken to change the position of Cetewayo. With reference to the second part of the Question, the Papers were already on the Table, which showed that his visit had been merely postponed, and not altogether abandoned.
