asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether he has received any information as to an attack reported (in the "Times" newspaper of the 4th June 1882) to have been made upon the house of a farmer named Timothy Lyons, at Rathcoole, near Kanturk, in which two soldiers were stationed on protection duty; and, whether any arrests have been made in connection with this outrage?

Yes, Sir; I have received a report upon the case referred to in the Question of the noble Lord, which is to the effect that the house in question was attacked on the morning of the 5th instant. Two arrests have been made in connection with the matter.
