§ MR. SCHREIBERasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury, With reference to the claims of the letter carriers and auxiliary letter carriers of the United Kingdom, set forth in their Memorials 481 to the Postmaster General more than twelve months since, whether he will now enable the Eight honourable gentleman to terminate the long suspense of the Memorialists, as being productive of serious discontent in his department and of consequent injury to the interests of the Public Service?
§ MR. COURTNEYAS the hon. Member is aware, the matter of this Question has been for some time under deliberation, and the communications between the Treasury and the Postmaster General have now arrived at a point which, I believe, will lead to a speedy settlement.
