HC Deb 05 June 1882 vol 270 cc66-7
LORD GEORGE HAMILTON

asked the Secretary to the Treasury, If he has had time to consider the application of the Inland Revenue surveying officers for an increase of pay and leave of absence?

MR. COURTNEY

Yes, Sir; the application has been considered, and an answer has been sent to the Board of Inland Revenue.

LORD GEORGE HAMILTON

In the affirmative?

MR. COURTNEY

I think, Sir, it is better that these officers should receive the answer from their own official superiors.
