HC Deb 06 July 1882 vol 271 c1608
MR. TOTTENHAM

asked Mr. Attorney General for Ireland, Whether Mr. Moriarty has been appointed Crown Prosecutor at Cork; whether he is the same gentleman who has been standing counsel and adviser of the Land League; and, whether he will continue to combine this office with his new duties?

THE ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR IRELAND (Mr. W. M. JOHNSON)

Yes, Sir; I have appointed Mr. Moriarty to the post in question. I am not aware, and have never heard, and express my own belief that it is not a fact, that he has been standing counsel and adviser to the Land League.
