asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, What pension the Government has determined to award to the widow of Sergeant Kavanagh, who was assassinated whilst performing his duty at Letterfeach, county Galway?

, in reply, said, he was glad to be able to say that a special pension of£40 per annum had been awarded to Mrs. Kavanagh so long as she remained unmarried, and of£2 10s. to each of her children until they attained the age of 15 years.
