§ LORD FREDERICK CAVENDISHThe officers of the Office of Woods and Forests are subject to the same conditions of appointment, tenure, and pension as the other members of the Civil Service whose salaries are voted in Committee of Supply. The receivers, surveyors, and local officers who are ap- 1825 pointed by the Treasury and paid out of the gross land revenue are not under the Superannuation Act; but, by a Treasury Minute passed some years ago, their pensions, which are paid out of the land revenue, are regulated on the principles of that Act.
