CORBETasked the Under Secretary of State for War, If he has yet received any Report of the investigation ordered by him into the conduct and management of the Royal Hibernian Military School, Dublin, particularly with regard to the undue severity stated to have been used in inflicting corporal punishment on the boys; and, if so, whether he has any objection to lay a Copy of the Report upon the Table of the House?
§ MR. CHILDERSSir, the Report the hon. Member refers to has not yet been received. The investigation was not ordered by me, but by the Commander-in-Chief in Ireland. When the Report comes to me I will road it carefully, and I will consider whether it may be laid on the Table of the House or not.
