asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, If he can state the reason why the Relief Works recently passed by the Presentment Sessions in the Union of Clonakilty have not yet been sanctioned by the Government?

MR. W. E. FORSTER,

in reply, said, that the works recommended by the Local Government Board had received the sanction of the Government, and that the Board of Works had got the necessary instructions to carry them out.
