§ MR. DODSONsaid, that in consequence of the considerable number of works which would be brought under inspection for the first time under the Alkali, &c. Works Regulation Act, it would be necessary to increase the number of Inspectors. He was not able yet to say what number it would be necessary to add, until he ascertained how many works would come under inspection; but he could assure the right hon. Gentleman that no time would be lost in bringing the Act into operation.
