§ MR. ERRINGTONasked the Vice President of the Council, Whether he will move the reappointment of the Select Committee on the Medical Acts, in order that the inquiry into Medical Education and Registration may be continued?
§ MR. MUNDELLASir, the Committee appointed during the last Session was not, as stated in the Question, to inquire into the Medical Acts, but to inquire into and report upon three Bills, one of which was a Government Bill, which was then before Parliament, for the amendment of those Acts. The Government do not propose to introduce any Bill for dealing with this important question during the present short Session, but will take the whole subject into consideration before the meeting of Parliament next year. A Committee on the subject cannot be appointed at present.
