§ SIR DAVID WEDDERBURNintimated that, in consequence of the an- 1894 nouncement of Her Majesty's Government that they did not intend to ask for any Vote beyond the sum of £500 for Sir Bartle Frere, which had been voted by Parliament for services already rendered, and not to be performed, he would not persevere with the Motion which stood in his name relating to the South African grant.
