asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, Whether the Commission appointed some time since to inquire into the organization and working of the Metropolitan Police Force, have made any Report; and, if so, whether he proposes in consequence to make any alteration in the existing regulations, with the view of improving the condition and efficiency of the force?

, in reply, said, the Commission alluded to was not a public, but a private Departmental Commission. It had made a Report, and some alterations had been made in consequence, while others were under consideration.
