asked the Postmaster General, Whether he will consent to alter the regulations of the Post Office Savings Banks made under the authority of the Act 24 Vic. c. 14, so as to allow depositors to deposit to the extent of £100 per year, instead of £30 as at present, and to extend the total amount which may stand in each depositor's name to £300, instead of £150 as at present?

, in reply, said, that it was the intention of the Government to introduce a measure respecting Postal Savings Banks, and that it would contain new provisions on the subject referred to by the hon. Member.
