HC Deb 04 June 1878 vol 240 c1167
MR. M. BROOKS

asked Mr. Attorney General for Ireland, If it is his intention to bring in, in this Session, any Bill for amending the Law which relates to the collection of Rates in Dublin?

THE ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR IRELAND (Mr. GIBSON)

Sir, a Commission has been recently sitting in Dublin inquiring into the whole subject referred to in the Question of the hon. Member; and until I have had an opportunity of fully considering the Report of that Commission, and carefully reading the Evidence taken before it, it would be premature to come to any decision on the subject.
