§ MR. J. LOWTHERMr. Speaker—Neither of the posts to which the hon. and gallant Gentleman refers are in the gift or under the control of the Irish Government. I had not myself previously heard any rumour similar to that which the hon. and gallant Member mentions, and I cannot say if there is any truth in it.
