That the Suez Canal is closed to Russian ships of war by agreement between the Porte and the Khedive. The entrances to the Canal will be guarded forthwith?
§ MR. BOURNESir, Her Majesty's Government have heard that it is intended to close the passage of the Suez Canal to Russian war vessels; but, as far as we are aware, no definite regulation has been issued on the subject. It is not intended, we are told, to close the Suez Canal to other vessels.
