SAMUELSONasked the President of the Local Government Board, Whether he will consent to lay upon the Table of the House, the Petition of Henry Gilling to the Local Government Board, for inquiry into the election of guardians for the middle ward of the parish of Cheltenham in 1874; and the Petition to the Local Government Board of the non-elected candidates at the guardians' election in 1876 for the same ward of the same parish, as well as all Correspondence consequent upon the two Petitions?
§ MR. SCLATER-BOOTHI have no objection to lay the Petition and the accompanying correspondence on the Table of the House, but I own that I should have an objection to recommend that the correspondence, which is very voluminous, should be printed and circulated, unless the hon. Member is desirous of founding any future course of action upon it. If the hon. Member will call at the Local Government Board he will be welcome to see it; but I must object to its printing and circulation, on account of the expense.
