§ LORD GEORGE HAMILTONSir, until 1858 it was the practice to lay Acts of the Legislative Council of India upon the Table of the House, and I do not know why the practice was discontinued. There will be no objection to lay in future, upon the Table of the House Indian Acts after they have received the sanction of the Secretary of State for India.
