HC Deb 14 February 1876 vol 227 c263
MR. O'SHAUGHNESSY

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland, Whether it is the intention of Her Majesty's Government to legislate on the subject of intermediate education in Ireland during the present Session?

SIR MICHAEL HICKS-BEACH

Sir, it is difficult at present, at this early period of the Session, to give a definite reply to the Question. I fear, however, that there will not be sufficient time at the disposal of the Government to enable me to introduce any measure on the subject.
