asked the First Lord of the Admiralty, Whether the examinations for Naval Cadet-ships are for the future to be competitive; and, if so, what is to be the nature of the competition?

MR. HUNT

, in reply, said, that the examinations for naval cadetships were no longer competitive, but would be conducted, as he had stated in moving the Navy Estimates, in accordance with the recommendations of the Committee appointed to inquire into the subject.
