HC Deb 24 June 1875 vol 225 c439
SIR GEORGE BOWYER

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, Whether, in the measure he proposes to introduce for amending the statute 21 Geo. 3, c. 49, he will provide that no action shall be brought without the sanction of the Attorney General?

MR. ASSHETON CROSS,

in reply, said, that the subject was now receiving the consideration of the hon. and learned Attorney General and himself. Pending legislation on the matter, the Attorney General would be bound to act under provisions of the existing law.
