LYON PLAYFAIRasked the Lord Advocate, Whether, as the Court of Judicature (Ireland) Bill proposes to increase the salaries of certain Irish Judges, he proposes to introduce a Bill to carry out the unanimous recommendation of the Royal Commission on the Courts of Law in Scotland, that the 121 salaries of the Judges of the Supreme Courts in Scotland should be increased?
THE LORD ADVOCATEIt is intended to give effect to many of the recommendations of the Royal Commission next Session, and the matter of the increase in the salaries of the Judges of the Supreme Courts will be submitted for consideration.
