§ MR. H. A. HERBERTasked the Chief Secretary for Ireland, Whether he has any objection to state when he proposes to introduce a Bill to give effect to the recommendation of the Inspectors of Irish Fisheries with regard to loans?
THE MARQUESS OF HARTINGTONsaid, in reply, that so far as loans from the Consolidated Fund were concerned, the Government had no intention to introduce any Bill to carry out the recommendation of the Inspectors of Irish Fisheries. He had, however, had prepared a draft of a Bill, authorizing a certain portion of the Reproductive Loan Fund to be appropriated to that object. This was now under the consideration of the Treasury, but he was unable to say when the Bill would be brought in.
