HC Deb 04 July 1872 vol 212 cc639-40
COLONEL C. LINDSAY

asked the Secretary of State for War, Whether the forthcoming Volunteer Review at Wimbledon, on the 20th of July, will be considered a special Brigade Drill, at which one-half of a battalion must be present according to the Auxiliary and Reserve Forces Circular of the 28th of May?

MR. CARDWELL

said, the Volunteer Review at Wimbledon was not a Brigade drill under the terms of the Circular in question, and the rule in that Circular did not apply to it.
