BARCLAYasked the Under Secretary of State for India, If any decision has been arrived at as to the course to be adopted with respect to the Annuity Branch of the Madras Medical Fund, the loss to which was estimated, in the Report of Mr. Brown the Actuary, in February 1868, at 184,255 rupees, and which loss has now increased to 291,038 rupees?
MR. GRANT DUFFsaid, in reply, that no decision had been arrived at with respect to the course to be adopted in reference to the annuity branch of the Madras Medical Fund. Unavoidable delay had occurred from the necessity for fresh reference to the actuary; but the hon. Member might rely upon there being no avoidable delay.
