HC Deb 02 March 1871 vol 204 c1169
MR. ASSHETON CROSS

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, Whether he can give the House any assurance that he will be able to introduce his Bill on the Licensing of Houses for the Sale of Intoxicating Liquors before Easter?

MR. BRUCE

said, in reply, that it was the present intention of the Government to introduce the Bill before Easter, and there was nothing in the state of Public Business to lead him to suppose that the intention would not be carried into effect.
