§ MR. MIALLasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Whether any Communication has been made by the French Government to Her Majesty's Ambassador in France, in reference to the abrogation of the existing Treaty of Commerce; and, whether there is any objection to lay upon the Table of the House at an early date, all the Correspondence and Papers bearing thereon?
§ VISCOUNT ENFIELDI believe, Sir, that allusions have been incidentally made by the French Government to the English Representative in France not as to the abrogation of the Commercial Treaty, but in reference to certain portions of its stipulations, but there have been no official communication on the subject, and consequently there is no Correspondence or Reports in connection with it that can be presented to Parliament.
