HC Deb 17 February 1870 vol 199 cc431-2
MR. FINNIE

said, he would beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury, If the evidence taken before the Departmental Commission appointed to inquire into the working of the Scottish Public Offices, and other Government arrangements, will be printed; and, if so, when the Report will be laid upon the Table of the House?

MR. GLADSTONE

The Report of the Departmental Commission to which the Question of the hon. Member refers has not yet been laid before the Treasary, and, therefore, it would be premature for me at this moment to say whether or not it will be laid upon the table of the House. At present, however, I am aware of no reason why it should not be laid upon the table in due course.
