SIR CHARLES WLNGFIELDsaid, he wished to ask the Vice President of the Council, Whether the Corporation of London have taken any and what measures for the provision of a Foreign Cattle Market?
§ MR. W. E. FORSTERsaid, in reply, that the Markets Committee of the Corporation of London had submitted to the Privy Council a site which they considered sufficient for the purposes of the proposed market. The only reason why further measures had not been taken was, that up to the present time the Privy Council were not fully convinced that there would be sufficient water ac- 1690 commodation at the site. Inquiries were made into the matter, and until those inquiries were completed nothing further could be done.
