§ MR. MOWBRAYsaid, in reply, that in the course of the autumn an application was received from several non-capitular members of cathedral and collegiate churches on the subject to which the hon. Member referred. When the Ecclesiastical Commissioners re-assembled on the meeting of Parliament in February, a Select Committee was appointed to consider the matter, and certain queries were prepared, which were now in progress of being answered.
