Order for Committee read.

SIR GEORGE GREY

said, in order that the Standing Orders of the House in reference to Friday evenings might be complied with, he would move that the House do go into a Committee of Supply.

Motion made, and Question proposed, "That Mr. Speaker do now leave the Chair."

MR. HUNT

said, he hoped that it would be generally understood that the House must meet on Monday, in order that the Members appointed to try the Helston Petitions might be sworn.

SIR GEORGE GREY

said, it had already been made known that the House must meet on Monday at the usual hour.

COLONEL EDWARDS

said, he really hoped that there would be a House made on Monday. The making of a House to-day was due to Members sitting on the Opposition side of the House. The Government had not assisted in the least to make a House.
