HC Deb 04 July 1865 vol 180 cc1162-3
SIR MATTHEW RIDLEY

said, in the absence of his noble Friend (Earl Percy) he would beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, Whether the Treasury will lay upon the Table of the House the Correspondence between the Board of Customs in London and the Reports of the Collector of the Tyne relating to the severance of the Ports of North and South Shields?

THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER

replied, that from the nature of the case there could be no objection to produce the Correspondence. He did not know if it was yet complete; but when it was complete it would be produced.
