HC Deb 06 May 1864 vol 175 c102
MR. HENLEY

said, he wished to ask the noble Lord the Member for Huntingdonshire (Lord Robert Montagu), If he would object to an Instruction being moved to the Committee appointed "to inquire into any plans for dealing with the Sewage of the Metropolis and other large Towns, with a view to its utilization to agricultural purposes," that they do inquire into the effects of discharging sewage into the brooks or rivers?

LORD ROBERT MONTAGU

replied, that the Committee had already to investigate a very large question, but if the right hon. Gentleman would bring forward a Motion as an Instruction to the Committee, he had no doubt they would arrive at some definite conclusion on the matter to which he referred. He also hoped that the right hon. Gentleman would allow himself to be added to the Committee.
