HC Deb 14 April 1864 vol 174 cc971-2
MR. BERNAL OSBORNE

said, he wished to repeat the question which he put the other night to the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs—namely, Whether he will lay on the table the French Despatch of the 20th of March, and also the answers received by Her Majesty's Government to their invitations to a Conference?

MR. LAYARD

said, in reply, that, as he had stated the other night, the French despatch was not communicated to Her Majesty's Government, but only read to the noble Lord at the head of the Foreign Office. No official copy was left with the Government. As to the other part of the hon. Member's question, there was no intention of laying any further papers on the table at present.

MR. BERNAL OSBORNE
