§ MR. CHICHESTER FORTESCUEsaid, he could not state the exact nature of the Bill lately passed by the Court of Policy of Demerara. He could, however, state that Her Majesty's Government would not give their sanction to any Bill having for its object the rendition of political prisoners escaping from neighbouring colonies.
