HC Deb 27 February 1857 vol 144 c1489
SIR JOHN TYRELL

said, he hoped the hon. Under Secretary for War would not think him importunate if he again asked whether any communication had been received from Colchester on the subject of the destitution of the soldiers' wives there, and if so, whether he could lay it on the table? He had a letter in his hand which stated that the distress of these persons had been relieved but slightly, and that from private charity.

MR. FREDERICK PEEL

said, a Report had been received from General Gascoigne, and he apprehended that there would be no objection to produce it. He would inform the hon. Gentleman on Monday.
