§ MR. TRELAWNYasked Lord John Russell whether it was the intention of the Government to bring in any measure for the removal of the disabilities of the Jews during the present Session.
LORD J. RUSSELLreplied, that it was not the intention of the Government to bring in any Bill limited to the object of removing the disabilities of the Jews; but he wished to take further time to consider whether it would be possible during the present Session to introduce a Bill which might make some alterations which appeared to be rendered necessary by the Acts of last Session, and particularly in respect to the taking of oaths.
