wished to ask the right hon. Gentleman whether it was the intention of the Government to found any measure on the Report of the Landlord and Tenant Commissioners? Considerable anxiety was felt on the subject in Ireland, and especially in the county with which he was connected.

Sir Robert Peel

said, that the subject was under consideration. The evidence had not been in the possession of the Government a sufficient time to enable them to determine what measures to adopt. He trusted that they would be enabled before long to lay some measure on the Table.
