The Earl of Lincoln

appeared at the Bar, and reported that the deputation appointed to wait upon his royal highness Prince Albert with the Address of the House, had attended his royal Highness accordingly, and that his royal Highness bad been pleased to say:

"I return you my warmest thanks for this gratifying instance of your attention to me, and duty to the Queen.

" I thank you for your cordial participation in the happiness which the birth of our son has caused us, and assure you, that the prosperity of my country will ever be the first object of my wishes."

This answer was also ordered to be entered on the journals.
