HC Deb 25 February 1824 vol 10 c450
Mr. Nolan

in moving for leave to bring in a bill to amend the Poor-Laws, said, that it was not his intention to enter into any explanation on the subject at present. If the House would allow him to bring in the bill, and to have it read a first time, he would then move, that it be printed and read a second time at some period that would admit of a sufficient opportunity for considering the merits of the measure.

Leave was given to bring in the bill.
