§ On the motion of the Chancellor of the Exchequer, the house resolved itself into a committee of supply. The right hon. gent, stated to the committee, that the Vote of Credit, of which he had given notice, was 2,500,000l.; but as 300,000l. the amount of the Sicilian subsidy, which was to be defrayed out of that vote, had since been granted to his majesty by parliament, he proposed to vote only 2,200,000l. The following sums were then voted: Vote of Credit for Great Britain 2,200,000l: Vote of Credit for Ireland 500,000l: Board of First Fruits in Ireland 10,000l: Charge of Treasury in Ireland 6,000l: Protestant Dissenting Ministers 9,159l. 4s.
