§ Mr. IngramSome 108 lawyers are employed by the Northern Ireland Office currently. In April 1995 the numbers were 94. In addition to these figures, four lawyers are currently on career breaks and two were on career breaks in 1995. Under existing arrangements lawyers working under the direction of the Director of Public Prosecutions for Northern Ireland and the Crown Solicitor for Northern Ireland are formally employed by the Northern Ireland Office.
