§ Mr. MudieThe Adult and Community Learning Fund prospectus was published on 28 August 1998. We received nearly 400 applications in the first round of bidding which closed on 5 October. Following consideration by the Department's independent Advisory Panel we announced funding in principle for 65 projects covering a wide range of local activities to involve more people in learning relevant to their lives. The closing date for the second round of applications, including re-submissions of first round bids referred back for further development, is 30 November 1998.
