§ Mr. DewarI have asked my noble Friend the Under-Secretary of State with responsibility for agriculture, the environment and fisheries in Scotland, whose responsibilities as Green Minister include the promotion of sustainable development, to assist colleagues in the comprehensive spending reviews in my Department. In fulfilling this role Lord Sewel will ensure that the Government's commitment to sustainable development is properly reflected in all the reviews currently being conducted in my Department.
