The additional information required is not available at present in the form requested. However, we are preparing to pilot a set of indicators within the national health service, one of which is in-hospital mortality for acute myocardial infarction. It will not be possible to link hospital admissions with deaths in the community after discharge from hospital for the foreseeable future.
