§ Mr. ForthThe Student Loans Company has advised that data in respect of individual institutions can be obtained only at disproportionate cost. The national take-up rate for England of student loans as a percentage of eligible students in publicly funded institutions was 48 per cent. in the academic year 1993–94, 55 per cent. in 1994–95 and 59 per cent. in 1995–96.
