Mr. Parry

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs which Members of the House of Commons and the House of Lords are not allowed to enter China and Iran; and if he will make a statement. [10470]

Mr. Hanley

We are not aware of any bans on hon. Members entering China or Iran. We do our best to assist with the travel plans of hon. Members, but entry clearance to the People's Republic of China and to the Islamic Republic of Iran is ultimately a matter for the authorities of those countries.
